Why are Magna-Pak's prices so much lower?	Magna-Pak manufactures many of our own products and source the balance directly from the source. We market our products direct to the customer and through various retail outlets and individual Magna-Pak Resellers. Nikken is a Multi-Level type of marketing company that sells exclusively through distributors. There are at least 6 layers of distributors to pay off on each sale, plus the company itself. This marketing method dictates their high prices.
How does Magna-Pak's Magnetic Mattress Pads compare to Nikken's magnetic"Kenkopad"?	Magna-Pak's primary concern is the magnetic effect, hence, we manufacture our pads to provide a pure "North pole effect" over the complete sleeping surface. Our Tru-North magnetic mattress pads offer at least 4 times as many magnets as any comparable Nikken system, and at MUCH lower prices. We feel most people have a comfortable mattress pad at home, and just need a comfortable magnetic layer to place on top of it.

Why does the Bipolar pattern produce a shallow magnetic penetration	Bipolar means both magnetic poles are present on the same side of the magnet. Since opposite poles attract, the poles are attracted to each other, thus the magnetic effect is diminished. This magnetic effect is known as "self-inducting". In measurements with a gauss meter at 3/8" distance away, the magnetic effect of the bipolar material has diminished to 2 gauss, a unipole ceramic magnet (pure north side of a magnet) would still produce 2 gauss at a distance of 3".
Many companies, including Nikken, claim their bipolar pattern is the best. What are the facts on this?	The fact is, not one clinical study has been performed to prove the efficacy of one pole pattern vs. another. All clinical studies to date have compared a magnetic product to a non-magnetic product (placebo). Some researchers have used mathematical equations to prove the magnetic potential of one magnetic pole pattern vs. another. However, the fact is the strength of a magnetic rubber pad is purely and unquestionably related to the amount of barium ferrite (iron) powder that is mixed in with the rubber during the manufacturing process. The magnetic field pattern from any given design is quickly diffused and is undistinguishable at the level where magnetic fields are biologically interacting. Just like the filament inside of a light bulb, the filament can be twisted into any given shape, but when the light switch is turned on, they all emit the same glow.
How Do Magna-Pak's Bracelets compare to Nikken's?	Magna-Pak sources the bracelets directly from the manufacturer, which is why we are able to pass on the savings to our customers. Magna-Pak sells link bracelets and titanium bracelets similar to the braided stainless steel and titanium link bracelet that Nikken sells. Magna-Pak's link bracelets contain a North Pole magnet in every link, to ensure maximum effects.

Nikken states they have exclusive magnetic products, is that true?	The only exclusive magnetic products they have are the Magboy and the Magcreator. They are good products but only work when rolling the devices over the body. Other products, such as battery powered electromagnetic devices that offer variable frequencies (more effective) and can be used for long periods with no effort, making them superior therapeutic devices.
